Food Trucks

Food trucks have been growing in popularity in the northwest and throughout the country.  They are a way for entrepreneurs to launch a successful food business without all of the extensive start-up costs associated with a conventional restaurant.  They have created opportunities for entrepreneurs that didn’t exist before, and in the process provided new unique businesses to add to the individual character of the communities where they have located.  Food trucks and food trailers have reached a certain “coolness” in cities such as Portland, Oregon and Austin, Texas.  Two of the City of Lacey’s community partners, the Center for Women in Business and South Puget Sound Community College are offering a workshop that may be helpful to entrepreneurs considering a food truck, food cart, or food trailer business.

How to Start a Food Truck Business
